PIMA AREA LABOR FEDERATION

On October 18th 2008, members of the United Food and Commercial Workers, the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, and the Pima Area Labor Federation (AFL-CIO) gathered to support the re-election effort of Representative Gabrielle Giffords.  These non-affiliated unions and the Federation came together to "Unite for Change," emphasizing the importance of electing labor-friendly representatives like Giffords.  A member-to-member walk was held out of the CWA/UFCW offices in the morning and a rally and BBQ Picnic followed. This is solidairity at its finest.

Over a hundred union members, leaders, retirees and family members show up for some great BBQ, dancing and to see guest speaker Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords.
